For some treatments, it’s important that we know as much detail about our patients’ jaw and bone density as possible. We use a 3D X-ray CT scanner to get an in-depth and accurate scan of the patient’s mouth, our CBCT scans are generally the best means for identifying the location of nerves and bone density. We then use these x-rays when considering implant treatment, informing decisions such as where to place the implants and whether bone-grafting is necessary, which allows implants to be placed with considerable confidence.
