What does the first visit involve?

  1. New Patients

    Welcome

    When you arrive for your first appointment at Keats House, we give you a warm welcome and help you feel instantly comfortable and relaxed in our practice. If you haven’t already done so, we may ask you to complete some short forms so we can understand a little more about your dental history.

  2. New Patients

    Examination

    Your initial appointment is slightly longer than your future check-ups will be, as we take the time to get to know you and your specific oral health needs. We ask if you have any concerns before conducting a thorough examination of your entire mouth. Your check-up also includes two intraoral X-rays to give us a more detailed picture of your dental health.

  3. New Patients

    Advice

    When your examination is complete, we discuss our findings with you. We let you know everything we’ve discovered and highlight any areas that require further attention. If appropriate, we give you personalised brushing advice or diet tips to help you keep your teeth and gums healthy and strong at home.

  4. New Patients

    Further treatment

    If you need any additional treatment to help you achieve optimum oral health, we will create a personalised treatment plan to reflect this. If you are also interested in cosmetic dentistry to enhance your smile’s appearance, we can discuss those options too. We explain the proposed treatment, including the associated costs and timescales, and arrange your next appointment.
